European Championships 2004 - BudapestQUOTESFree Dance - Feb 6th, 2004 Faiella: 5.7 is a really high mark and it is the first time for us to
get a mark this high at a major event. It doesn’t matter to us if we move
up or stay in 6th, we did our program so well, and that is enough for
us. We’re absolutely satisfied. Scali: It was so perfect, we didn’t make any mistakes today. It seemed that only seconds passed, but in fact we were out there a few minutes. We can’t explain how happy we are. The funny thing was that we always made some mistakes at Europeans, but this was an exception. The crowd is very warm, we heard it already at the warm up that they would support us. Original Dance - Feb 5th, 2004 Faiella: We did a good dance out there. The Israeli team is still ahead of us, but our performance is great for today. The competition is not over yet, so we still have a chance to move up. We will see what we can do. Scali: We didn’t practice today because we wanted to arrive at the competition relaxed and practice was too early. Every time we skate together we get more and more confident. Tomorrow, we will skate even better than we did today. So far, so good. Compulsory Dance - Feb 3, 2004 Scali: It felt easy to skate although we were the first to skate. We felt our speed was good. We’re happy that the Waltz was drawn and not the Yankee Polka. We’ve never done the Polka in competition before. |
